Accidents Don’t Discriminate: Any one, at any age, at any level of experience is susceptible to being injured on a construction site.
Safety is a way of life. The Penobscot Company believes that all construction accidents are preventable if work is properly planned and communicated. We approach each and every construction activity proactively to assure the project is completed, injury free.
Safety is everyone’s responsibility. Workers are responsible for their own safety, but are also expected to be responsible for those working around them. Accidents don’t discriminate. Anyone, at any age, at any level of experience is susceptible to being injured on a construction site. We expect all workers onsite to take safety seriously and follow the site policies, and will not tolerate anything less.
Safety is the most important part of any project. The Penobscot Company prides itself on an excellent safety record. Rest assured that with TPC, your job site will be a safe job site.
The Penobscot Company has been awarded the Certificate of Commendation from the Associated General Contractors of America for a ZERO RECORDABLE INCIDENT RATE in 2003, 2004, 2006, 2008, 2011, 2017, and 2018.
The penobscot company difference
Continuous improvement. Work plans are studied at the end of each work day, so lessons learned can be implemented into the following day’s plan. We make tomorrow’s plan better and safer than today’s.
More stringent than OSHA. The Penobscot Company ensures that work is completed per OSHA requirements, but we don’t stop there. We know our job sites and our workers best, and take additional steps to emphasize and ensure safety through enhanced project specific, comprehensive, work plans.
Everyone has a say in Safety. All workers are encouraged and expected to participate in the work planning. All workers are empowered to stop any work for any safety concern.
